I am a professonal forester specializing in wildlife habitat development.  I am being mentored by my son who started trapping a year ahead of me.  My background in forest industry, private consulting (focused on QDM programs and deer census/research), contractor for the Dept. of Defense (prescribed burning and deer management), Forestry Coordinator for the National Bobwhite Conservation Initiative and currently the Director of the Shortleaf Pine Initiative..

I am an active Hunter Education instructor for TWRA since 1989 in traditional and bowhunter education.  Completed trapper education in 2013.
